Recipes

My sister-in-law has a great blog telling the story of their daily life through food, you can find here.

I include some recipes from time-to-time as I find something really interesting or good.  Below is a table of contents for my blog.  I am in the process of going through and adding more step-by-step illustrations so they will be more tutorials rather than just recipes.

Appetizers:
Shy-Tomato (Tomatillo) Salsa:  My first time using this fun little fruit, I liked how this salsa turned out.

Pretzel Bites:  These are delicious.

Breads/Muffins:

Banana Nut Muffins

Chocolate Nut Bread:  I have made this one many times as a breakfast bread, and it never disappoints!

Irish Soda Bread

Sides:

Succotash:  This is a great use of veggies in the summer!

Main Dishes:

Shepherd's Pie:  I make this about once a week!

Lamb Chops with Peppers and Couscous:  I used this the first time I ever cooked lamb chops, and have stuck with the recipe ever since.  It also can be blamed for getting me hooked on couscous.

Camping White Chicken Chili:  I know everyone has their own version, but this is ours.  It has gone on the road camping with us, and is made weekly in the fall.

Thai Curry:  Our first try at Thai food.

Soup:

Sweet Potato and Sausage Soup:  A fall favorite at our house.

Dessert:

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie:  This is a pie I make every spring/early summer.

Grandma's Brownstone Front Cake:  A recipe passed down from my great grandma.

Double Good Blueberry Pie:  A very simple way to showcase fresh blueberries, best after a trip to the orchard to pick blueberries.

Peanut Butter Pie:  One my grandma makes around Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Only 5 ingredients!
