Elijah: 11 months

Today I'm writing this post as you and Theo splash around in the tiny splash pool in our tiny back yard.  Hopefully I can get it done without stopping too many times to put you back in.  Check that; I think you are done already so I moved you into your new swing that hangs from the porch.  You absolutely loved the first time we put you in here, and now you can stay outside longer when dada is gardening or Theo is playing baseball in the yard.  You have definitely been on the move this month, and have climbed the entire set of stairs several times now, and you are eating me out of house and home.  You got to visit with family again this month, and got to go to your first ever 4-H fair.

Weight:  22 pounds
Size:  12-18, 18-24 months, size 3 diapers (same)
Feeding:  Just about anything.  This month you fed yourself a lot of things: fruit (champagne grapes, blueberries, bananas),  shredded/ground meat of any kind, Cheerios and bread bits, and as much cheese as you could get.  I have loved making you purees with all kinds of things, including sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, and lots of plums.  You even get some yogurt based smoothies from your little green pouches when we are out and about.  You are a lucky baby to come upon this eating time during the summer season!  You are still nursing, and I'm afraid it is going to be a hard transition to switch to whole milk next month.
Sleeping:  We are finally getting this sleep thing down this month.  You pretty much sleep from about 10 pm to 7 am in your crib.  You'll take another 30-60 min nap around 10, and then another sometime in the afternoon.  As long as you are on the couch, mama's bed, stroller, car seat or Theo's bed.  You still hate to nap in your crib.
Likes:  pushing your elephant walker, finding Kiki and then hissing at her,  swinging, hitting toys together when playing, splashing, making your "squinty face"
Dislikes:  being locked out of the bathroom (you like to get into everything you shouldn't), kept out of the trashcans, and prevented from climbing on the dishwasher

Some of my favorite photographs of you from this last month.  You smile pretty good for the camera now, but won't stay still.
