Ring Bearer, 2nd Time Around (3 1/4 years old)

Despite a rehearsal that looked like this...

A very long car ride leads to a grumpy boy in the evening.

Theo did a great job being a ring bearer for his second time in the last 11 months.  As long as he has a pretty girl to lead him around and tell him what to do he does fine.  And this time it only took two suckers to keep him quiet throughout the wedding ceremony.

He kind of loves the spotlight.  I'm not sure where he gets it from.

This time his job included carrying a very important box...
and wearing a sign.  The front said "Here comes the bride", and we switched it around to send him back down the aisle.

As you can see, he enjoyed the evening.

Where did the girls go?
Found her.

All he talked about before the wedding was dancing with Chloe.

He even caught the garter... but he better not leave his mama for another woman for a long, long time.

Pea Patch Island (Fort Delaware State Park)

One thing I've been meaning to blog about for a view long time now was a local excursion we went on a few month ago.  Brian's brothers came out to visit, and one mentioned visiting Fort Delaware.  Though it is within about ten minutes of my school, I've never heard of Fort Delaware.
Apparently, Fort Delaware is one of a few forts in the area, and is located on Pea Patch Island.  So on probably the hottest day of the year, I boarded a boat with four Eddie boys to visit this historical venue.

It was a pretty neat "living history" attraction with re-enactors and tour guides.

Here are some photos:

Baby Goes to Washington

So we met my family in DC a few weekends ago when they came out to visit. We embarked on our second annual trip to view the Cherry Blossoms!
Many of the family had never rode the subway. I am now an expert at the DC system, don't even have to look at the map anymore (can't say the same for the NYC metro).

We came up Smithsonian station, right on the mall.

We saw the White House, getting ready for the Easter egg roll later in the weekend (I have got to try and get Theodore a ticket next year!).

We saw the new WWII Memorial (well, newish).

The Lincoln Memorial (I made it up all the steps.  C-section pain has subsided).

The Korean War Memorial (one of my favorites-really makes you think about the soldiers).

The often overlooked Memorial to "The Great War"

And finally the Cherry Blossoms!

This year the Tulip garden was in full bloom.

Matthew got this great shot!

It was a fun day, and exhausting! My family had driven the night before, so they were dragging by the time we got back off the subway at our cars. But we made it home to the hotel in time for the basketball games.
